It needs to know your location??

1- It keeps asking to allow location "Alway". WHY?? For what possible reason does this app need to know where I am? It doesnt. Its an hourly chime app.
2- why do I need notifications on with banner & badge? The sound should be more than enough. I only want to hear the hour. Not see it.
Deleting off phone after writing this review.
